A meeting between the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and the world's leading airline, Emirates, took place on May 13, 2025, at ACV's headquarters. The meeting was attended by Mr. Vu The Phiet, Chairman of ACV's Board of Directors, and Mr. Majid Al Falasi, Emirates' Country Manager for Vietnam, along with senior leaders from both sides.

Overview of the Meeting

At the meeting, Mr. Majid Al Falasi expressed his deep gratitude to ACV for the strong support and cooperation ACV has provided to Emirates over the past 13 years, since the airline began operating flights in Vietnam in 2012. Currently, Emirates operates 25 flights per week to three major cities in Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang. Ho Chi Minh City is the destination with the highest flight frequency, followed by Hanoi and Da Nang. Notably, the Da Nang route was newly introduced by Emirates in March 2025, with four flights per week, connecting passengers from the Middle East and Europe to this coastal city.

Mr. Majid emphasized that Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the world. Therefore, Emirates always considers Vietnam a strategic market and is committed to provide the best products and services. The airline plans to introduce the modern Airbus A350 aircraft in Vietnam starting from August 2025 to enhance the passenger flight experience.

The Chairman of ACV's Board of Directors, Mr. Vu The Phiet, highly appreciated the role of Emirates, one of the world's leading airlines, in developing the international route network in Vietnam. He stressed that Emirates' strong presence not only facilitates international trade but also contributes to bringing the image of Vietnam closer to international friends. The two sides discussed new cooperation opportunities to increase flight frequency, expand the route network, and improve service quality at airports managed by ACV. Emirates expressed its commitment to being one of the first international airlines to register to operate flights at Long Thanh International Airport immediately upon its commencement of operations.

The meeting affirmed the strategic and long-term partnership between ACV and Emirates, aiming for the common goal of sustainable development, meeting the increasing demands of passengers, and contributing to Vietnam's economic, tourism, and international trade development. ACV committed to creating favorable conditions and providing maximum support to airlines in general, and Emirates in particular, in the process of cooperation and development.
