As digital transformation becomes a key driver of national competitiveness, strengthening collaboration between major enterprises has become a practical necessity to realize Vietnam's policies on science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation.
On July 17, 2026, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) hosted the Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony with Global Technology - Telecommunications Corporation (GTEL) at ACV Headquarters. The ceremony was co-chaired by Mr. Dao Viet Dung, Deputy Secretary of the ACV Party Committee, and Colonel Luong Duc Minh, Secretary of the GTEL Party Committee and Chairman of GTEL. The event marks a new milestone in the partnership between the two organizations, aiming to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies, modernize airport infrastructure, and contribute to the implementation of Vietnam's national digital transformation agenda.
Leaders of ACV and GTEL signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement
Under the agreement, ACV and GTEL will leverage their respective strengths to establish a comprehensive, long-term strategic partnership across several key areas. A major focus will be the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and intelligent monitoring solutions in the development of Intelligent Operations Centers (IOCs), with the goal of significantly enhancing the management and operational capabilities of airports throughout Vietnam.
In addition, the two parties will collaborate on researching and deploying technology solutions to strengthen aviation security and safety. They will also expand cooperation in logistics, postal and express delivery services, commercial cargo services, import activities, the supply of specialized vehicles and equipment, technology transfer, innovation, and the development of a highly skilled workforce. By combining ACV's expertise in airport infrastructure development and operations with GTEL's strengths in technology and telecommunications, the partnership is expected to establish a modern, integrated, and sustainable digital ecosystem for Vietnam's airport network.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dao Viet Dung, Deputy Secretary of the ACV Party Committee, stated: "Digital transformation is an inevitable trend and a top priority in ACV's development strategy for the new phase. We firmly believe that partnering with a reputable technology and telecommunications company like GTEL will provide additional momentum for ACV to accelerate the modernization of airport infrastructure while enhancing passenger services and operational management. This partnership represents not only a strategic alliance between two enterprises but also a shared commitment to the sustainable development of Vietnam's aviation industry."
