Strengthening Aviation Cooperation in ASEAN
The ATWG54 and related meetings are being hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) in coordination with the ASEAN Secretariat from October 5 to 9, 2026, in Da Nang City. The event brings together representatives from aviation authorities, international organizations, airlines and industry stakeholders across the region.
Discussions focus on key areas of ASEAN aviation cooperation, including air transport, air traffic management, aviation safety and technical cooperation. The program also features a series of meetings, forums and specialized workshops with the participation of international aviation organizations, including Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
This year’s ATWG54 program includes the Workshop on the Launch of the ASEAN Socio-Economic Impact Study organized by ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East, IATA Aviation Day, the 10th ASEAN Forum on Sustainable Development, as well as technical sessions involving ASEAN working groups and airlines. Through these activities, participants have the opportunity to exchange views on aviation policies, market trends and regional connectivity, while exploring solutions to support the sustainable development of the ASEAN aviation sector.
For ACV, participation in these specialized regional forums provides an opportunity to strengthen professional exchanges with aviation authorities, international organizations, airlines and industry partners, while gaining insights and sharing practical experience relevant to the management, operation and development of ACV’s airport network.
