On 22 June 2026, Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), held a working session with the Project Management Unit (PMU) at the Long Thanh International Airport construction site. The visit underscored ACV’s strong commitment and high priority in accelerating the implementation of this national key infrastructure project.

During the working session, ACV Chairman Nguyen Cao Cuong reviewed key matters related to project progress, coordination among participating units, and priority tasks requiring timely action. The session focused on assessing major implementation issues, aligning management directions, and establishing specific action plans to ensure the project is carried out in a synchronized, effective, and target-oriented manner.
Speaking at his first working session with the Long Thanh International Airport PMU in his capacity as ACV Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong emphasized that Long Thanh International Airport is a national key project of strategic significance to Viet Nam’s socio-economic development. He noted that the project plays a crucial role in enhancing the country’s aviation infrastructure capacity and strengthening Viet Nam’s position on the regional aviation map.
Based on the project’s defined objectives, the ACV Chairman requested the PMU to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and all participating units to continue upholding a strong sense of responsibility, enhancing coordination, and maintaining the highest level of implementation discipline. Project management and execution must be conducted in a professional, scientific, proactive, and practical manner, with close control over construction progress while giving top priority to construction quality, occupational safety, and effective coordination among all parties.
ACV’s leadership also reaffirmed the Corporation’s consistent support for the project. The ACV leadership committed to standing closely with the PMU, mobilizing necessary resources, and creating the most favorable conditions for the project management apparatus to operate smoothly and effectively, meeting the requirements of the current acceleration phase.
The ACV Chairman’s first working session at the Long Thanh International Airport project not only demonstrated the close attention and direction of the Corporation’s leadership, but also delivered a clear message of decisive action, strong coordination, and ACV’s highest sense of responsibility in bringing this national key project toward safe, quality-assured, and timely completion in accordance with the set objectives.
