On the afternoon of 9 June 2026, at Dong Hoi Airport, Mr. Tran Anh Vu, Deputy General Director of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), chaired a site inspection and progress review meeting for Contract Package No. 18 under Component Project 1: “Construction of the T2 Passenger Terminal at Dong Hoi Airport.”

The meeting was attended by representatives of the ACV Construction & Investment Project Management Unit, Dong Hoi Airport, design consultants, supervision consultants, the contractor consortium, and relevant construction units.

During the meeting, the participating units reported on the project implementation status, construction progress of key work items, and the mobilization of manpower and equipment. They also discussed and proposed solutions to address difficulties and issues arising during the implementation process, with the aim of ensuring that the project remains on schedule.

The delegation conducted a site inspection to assess the implementation status of construction works, equipment installation, occupational safety measures, environmental sanitation, and overall construction organization at the project site.

Overview of the meeting

In his directive remarks, ACV Deputy General Director Tran Anh Vu acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts made by all units involved in the project. He requested that the units continue to concentrate resources, strengthen manpower and equipment, and accelerate the construction progress of key work items, particularly those on the project’s critical path. He also emphasized the need for close coordination among all relevant parties to promptly address any difficulties and issues arising during project implementation.

In addition, the Deputy General Director stressed that all units must pay special attention to construction quality management, while ensuring absolute occupational safety, fire prevention and fighting safety, environmental sanitation, and strict compliance with all applicable regulations throughout the construction process.

The T2 Passenger Terminal Project at Dong Hoi Airport is one of ACV’s key projects, playing an important role in enhancing the airport’s operational capacity, service quality, and passenger handling capability. Upon completion, the project is expected to help meet the growing air transport demand in the region, while contributing to socio-economic development, tourism growth, and investment attraction in Quang Tri Province and neighboring localities.
