From 12 to 14 May 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, a group of delegations from Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), led by Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung – Deputy General Director in charge of ACV’s Board of Management and Member of the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Board – participated in a series of key activities within the framework of the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Assembly, Conference & Exhibition 2026 (RACE 2026).

Recognized as one of the region’s premier aviation forums, RACE 2026 brought together more than 450 delegates, over 60 speakers, and more than 40 international brands and exhibitors, providing a high-level platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of innovative initiatives shaping the future of the aviation industry.
During the event, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung actively engaged in strategic discussions and specialized working sessions, contributing valuable perspectives on financial direction, major infrastructure projects, and solutions to strengthen the resilience of regional airport systems amid geopolitical uncertainties. The ACV delegation also participated in discussions regarding organizational development and human resource strategies for the next term.

A key highlight of the conference was the panel discussion titled “Capacity Pressures and the Case for Greenfield Airports”, where Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung joined international experts to share insights and practical experience on:
Strategic planning, investment, and development of large-scale greenfield airport projects;
Integrating sustainability (ESG) goals and digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and optimize airport capacity;
Advancing policy frameworks and connectivity mechanisms to strengthen national competitiveness through the development of modern and synchronized aviation infrastructure.

ACV’s proactive participation and substantive contributions at RACE 2026 further reaffirmed the Corporation’s growing role, position, and voice within regional and international aviation forums. The event also provided an important opportunity for ACV to strengthen partnerships, expand international connectivity, and gain access to advanced models and best practices in airport planning, investment, management, and operations, supporting the sustainable development of Vietnam’s national airport system in the new growth phase.
