On September 14, 2026, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) held a working session with international partners, including Menzies Aviation, a provider of ground handling and air cargo services; Winsun Imp. & Exp. Group, a company engaged in international trade and import-export activities; Global Cargo; and SPDF Group, a company specializing in duty-free retail, together with relevant units.
The meeting focused on exchanging views and exploring cooperation opportunities in cargo operations, non-aeronautical services and airport amenities, with particular attention to the development and future operation of Long Thanh International Airport.

Overview of the working session
During the meeting, ACV and its partners discussed international aviation development trends, cargo handling technologies and operating models, non-aeronautical services, duty-free retail, and the development of airport amenities. The discussions provided an opportunity for the parties to share practical experience and explore potential areas of cooperation in line with ACV’s development objectives.

International partners sharing their experience and operating models
In the field of cargo operations, the discussions focused on technology applications, the Smart Cargo Terminal model and international operating experience. These exchanges provided ACV with additional perspectives on the development of smart, efficient and integrated cargo handling solutions, which could be considered in the ongoing development of cargo operations across ACV’s airport network, particularly at Long Thanh International Airport.
The parties also discussed specialized training and human resource development. Sharing expertise and training experience could contribute to strengthening the professional capabilities of ACV’s workforce and supporting the development of human resources for increasingly sophisticated cargo operations.
In the area of non-aeronautical services, the discussions covered business models, retail development, duty-free operations, product offerings and international brand networks at airports. These areas are of interest to ACV as it studies and develops service models that are appropriate to the scale, infrastructure and operational orientation of Long Thanh International Airport.
The exchange of expertise with international partners enables ACV to gain further insights into international operating models, technological solutions and service practices. These experiences will provide valuable reference points for ACV in evaluating and selecting solutions that are suitable for Vietnam’s aviation market and the specific conditions of its airport network.

Delegates at the working session
Through international engagement and cooperation, ACV continues to strengthen relationships with businesses, airport operators and partners across the aviation service ecosystem. At the same time, ACV remains committed to enhancing the exchange of expertise, accessing international practices and exploring potential cooperation opportunities in areas aligned with the Corporation’s development objectives.
These efforts form part of ACV’s broader approach to enhancing operational capabilities, diversifying airport services and improving service quality across its airport network, contributing to the sustainable and modern development of Vietnam’s aviation sector.
