To meet the expected increase in passenger demand for travel, tourism and leisure during the 2026 summer peak season, Cam Ranh International Airport has proactively implemented comprehensive operational plans, with a focus on enhancing service quality, ensuring aviation security and safety, maintaining smooth operations, and providing passengers with a more convenient travel experience.
During the 2026 summer peak period, Cam Ranh International Airport is expected to handle more than 740,000 passengers per month, with an average of over 130 aircraft movements per day. The sharp increase in traffic volume places significant demands on operational management, passenger services, coordination among relevant units, and the overall capacity of the airport system.
In response to the growing travel demand, Cam Ranh International Airport has conducted a comprehensive review of its operational plans, proactively arranged sufficient personnel at key positions, and prepared vehicles, equipment and facilities for passenger services. The airport has also strengthened inspections of technical systems, terminal infrastructure, aircraft parking areas, check-in counters, security screening areas and boarding gates.
At the same time, the airport has enhanced coordination with airlines, ground handling service providers, aviation security forces and relevant agencies operating at the airport to ensure that all activities are carried out safely, smoothly and efficiently.
Enhancing service capacity
During the peak period, passenger service areas at Terminal T1 and Terminal T2 have been flexibly organized and managed to minimize local congestion, particularly during peak hours. Staff are appropriately deployed at check-in areas, public halls, arrival areas, boarding gates and passenger support points to provide timely guidance and assistance throughout the passenger journey.
