As part of the ongoing cooperation between two sister airports, a six-member delegation from Chubu Centrair International Airport (CJIAC) visited Da Nang International Airport and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) from September 9 to 12, 2026, for a study visit and professional exchange on the management, operation and maintenance of airport infrastructure.

As part of the programme, Da Nang International Airport organized workshops, technical discussions and on-site visits, providing an opportunity for both sides to share practical experience in airport operations and the maintenance of safe and efficient operating conditions.

One of the key topics of the programme was the maintenance and upkeep of runways, taxiways and aprons, which are essential to ensuring safe, continuous and efficient flight operations at Da Nang International Airport.

During the technical exchange, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Deputy Director of the Airfield Operations Center, shared practical knowledge and experience accumulated over many years of professional work, with a focus on inspection, maintenance and the implementation of measures to ensure the quality and operational readiness of airside infrastructure.

In return, members of the Chubu Centrair delegation shared their practical experience in airport operations, particularly their approach to managing operations at an airport operating with a single runway. The exchange provided both sides with different perspectives and approaches to airfield management and operations.

Beyond the workshop sessions, the delegation also conducted an on-site visit to observe the work of engineers and staff at Da Nang International Airport’s airside facilities in the early hours of September 10, 2026. The visit offered a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the day-to-day practices involved in maintaining and operating airport infrastructure.

Through technical discussions and on-site learning, the programme provided staff and engineers from both airports with an opportunity to exchange practical experience, learn from different approaches and broaden their professional perspectives. It also contributed to strengthening mutual understanding, trust and cooperation between Da Nang International Airport and Chubu Centrair International Airport in airport operations.

Maintaining regular programmes for professional exchange, study visits and knowledge sharing not only contributes to strengthening the professional capabilities of staff and engineers, but also provides a solid foundation for further practical cooperation between the two airports. Through these continued efforts, both sides aim to enhance the quality, efficiency and professionalism of airport management and operations.
