On the morning of 17 July 2026, Noi Bai International Airport successfully held its Conference to Review Performance in the First Six Months of 2026 and Outline Key Tasks for the Remaining Six Months of the Year.

Overview of the Conference
According to the report presented at the conference, despite the complex and unpredictable global situation, Noi Bai International Airport delivered remarkable performance during the first half of 2026, achieving impressive double-digit growth across all key operational indicators. Specifically, the airport safely handled more than 111,300 flight movements, up 11% year-on-year; served approximately 18.2 million passengers, an increase of 10%; and processed more than 548,000 tonnes of cargo and mail, representing a 20.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Revenue and profit also recorded strong growth of 15.5% and 11.8%, respectively. The airport's connectivity continued to expand, with 71 airlines operating services linking the capital to more than 90 domestic and international destinations.
During the first six months of the year, the airport maintained an outstanding safety record across all flight operations. It also successfully handled 113 VIP flights and 1,001 priority flights, contributing to the successful organization of major national events, including the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the First Session of the 16th National Assembly.
A major highlight at the beginning of the year was the commissioning of the Terminal 2 Expansion Project. Beyond significantly enhancing the airport's infrastructure, the expanded terminal has been enriched with distinctive Vietnamese cultural elements, including the iconic Thang Long Dragon, traditional craft village exhibitions, and cultural performances, creating an exceptional travel experience for passengers.
Another significant milestone was the successful completion of preparations for the transfer of aviation security responsibilities from the airport to the People's Public Security Force. The transition was carried out in close coordination and in full compliance with regulations, ensuring the highest standards of aviation security while maintaining uninterrupted airport operations.
In pursuit of becoming a smart airport, Noi Bai International Airport has identified digital transformation and green transformation as its two strategic priorities. This vision was reflected in a series of highly practical presentations delivered during the conference. Representatives from the Noi Bai Terminal Operations Center presented solutions on digital transformation, focusing on optimizing passenger processing procedures and streamlining professional operational workflows. Meanwhile, the Engineering, Technology and Environment Department introduced its green transformation initiatives, highlighting energy-efficient solutions and a roadmap toward developing an internationally recognized green airport.
In his keynote address, the Director of Noi Bai International Airport commended the dedication and efforts of all employees while outlining the airport's key priorities for the remainder of the year. He called on the entire airport to strive to exceed its assigned 2026 performance targets by 10%. He also emphasized the importance of eliminating operational bottlenecks, continuously improving service quality, achieving the Skytrax 4-Star Airport standard, and ultimately progressing toward 5-Star Airport status in the coming years.

Mr. To Tu Ha, Director of Noi Bai International Airport, delivers remarks at the conference
To recognize outstanding contributions, the conference honored collectives and individuals for their excellent achievements in the airport's emulation movement during the first half of 2026. In a warm and respectful atmosphere, the airport also paid tribute to colleagues who retired or transferred to new positions, expressing sincere appreciation for their lasting contributions to the development of the Noi Bai family.

The conference also officially launched a special emulation campaign themed "50 Years of Building and Development." The campaign is expected to inspire enthusiasm and commitment among all employees as the airport accelerates toward the milestone of its 50th anniversary (28 February 1977 – 28 February 2027).
As Noi Bai International Airport concludes a highly successful first half of 2026, every achievement has been made possible through the close guidance and support of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV). Remaining steadfast in its commitment to excellence, the airport will continue building a smart airport ecosystem, reinforcing its role as the capital's premier international gateway and earning the continued trust and confidence of passengers.
