Reporting to the Prime Minister, representatives of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) stated that, in line with directives issued by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha under Notice No. 78/TB-VPCP dated February 13, 2026, as well as guidance from relevant ministries and agencies, ACV promptly resumed coordination with all contractors immediately after the Lunar New Year 2026. Comprehensive solutions were deployed to address bottlenecks and accelerate progress, with full-scale construction activities officially relaunched from February 22, 2026 (the sixth day of the Lunar New Year).

To date, all construction packages have mobilized full leadership teams, technical personnel from the Project Management Board, contractors, and supervision consultants to ensure continuous on-site operations. Construction machinery and equipment have been fully deployed, while the workforce has steadily increased following the holiday period, reaching approximately 8,951 workers on site as of March 24, 2026.

ACV is currently working closely with contractors and consulting units to review and recalibrate the overall implementation schedule in line with actual conditions, with a strong commitment to accelerating progress. The target is to complete construction no later than September 2026, enabling commercial operations to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Following the site inspection, the Prime Minister chaired a working session with ministries, agencies, and relevant stakeholders. ACV will further expedite progress, conduct comprehensive reviews of all tasks, and proactively address emerging issues with timely and effective solutions in accordance with the Prime Minister’s directives.

During the visit, the Prime Minister also extended his encouragement and presented gifts to engineers and workers at the site, acknowledging their sustained efforts throughout the construction process.
