On October 29, 2026, the Conference on “Investment and Tourism Promotion and Air Route Development between Lam Dong and Thanh Hoa” was held in Thanh Hoa Province, bringing together representatives of government agencies, local authorities, organizations and businesses from both provinces. The event served as a platform for dialogue, networking and cooperation in investment and tourism, while exploring opportunities to strengthen air connectivity between the two localities through Lien Khuong International Airport and Tho Xuan Airport.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Deputy Director of the Business and Market Development Department of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), emphasized the strategic importance of Lien Khuong International Airport and Tho Xuan Airport in the regional transport network connecting the Central Highlands and North Central Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Deputy Director of ACV’s Business and Market Development Department, delivers remarks at the conference.
Regarding air route development, ACV expressed its strong support for the initiative to establish air connectivity between the two provinces. ACV also proposed practical incentive policies to encourage airlines to launch new routes, attract additional carriers to the market and increase frequencies on existing services. These measures would help create favorable conditions for airlines to assess market potential, evaluate operational feasibility and gradually turn the opportunity for connectivity between the two destinations into reality.
Strengthening air connectivity between Lam Dong and Thanh Hoa would not only reduce travel time and facilitate mobility for residents and visitors but also create new opportunities for developing interregional tourism products, enhancing trade, attracting investment and expanding cooperation between the two localities. In this regard, Lien Khuong International Airport and Tho Xuan Airport serve as important aviation infrastructure hubs, connecting the economic, cultural and tourism centers of the Central Highlands and North Central Vietnam.

In the presence of leaders from both provinces and representatives of relevant agencies, the Lam Dong Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center signs memoranda of understanding with associations, businesses and investors from within and outside the province.
As Vietnam’s key enterprise responsible for investing in, managing and operating the nationwide network of airports, ACV consistently prioritizes aviation market development and strengthens cooperation with local authorities and airlines to expand air connectivity. Its participation in the conference further demonstrates ACV’s proactive commitment to working alongside local authorities, mobilizing resources and proposing practical solutions to support air route development. Through these efforts, ACV aims to maximize the effectiveness of existing aviation infrastructure while contributing to regional economic growth and tourism development.
