Under the theme “Future on the Move: Accelerating Next-Gen Transport,” this year’s event brought together numerous international organizations, experts and businesses. It served as a reputable platform for aviation industry stakeholders to exchange insights, showcase advanced technologies and promote innovation.
Advancing Automation and Digital Transformation in Ground Handling
During the seminars, experts introduced cutting-edge technological solutions, including Digital Ramp, Digital Turnaround and Digital Load Verification (DLV). Applying information technology to apron management, load verification and ground handling progress monitoring helps optimize aircraft turnaround times. These solutions play an important role in improving coordination among operational units, minimizing the risk of errors and ensuring the highest standards of operational safety.

The program also explored the application of autonomous ground support equipment (Autonomous GSE), hydrogen-powered equipment and sustainable operational solutions. These emerging trends are expected to help airports optimize resources, reduce fuel consumption and minimize carbon emissions.
Digitizing the Entire Air Cargo Supply Chain
In the air cargo sector, IATA introduced the ONE Record standard and the Internet of Logistics model. These initiatives aim to enable seamless electronic data connectivity and sharing among stakeholders across the supply chain, including airlines, airport operators, ground handling service providers, freight forwarders and customs authorities.

By digitizing documentation and strengthening shipment information management, these systems enhance real-time data traceability. This, in turn, helps optimize the entire process of cargo acceptance, handling, storage and transportation, creating new opportunities for the development of air cargo logistics services.

Pioneering Digital Identity and Biometric Technologies
To enhance the passenger experience, IATA’s One ID initiative was presented in detail during the seminars. The initiative promotes the integration of digital identity, digital wallets and biometric technologies throughout the passenger journey.
Its core objectives are to simplify documentation procedures, develop a seamless contactless journey ecosystem and provide passengers with greater convenience when passing through airports.
Towards a Smart and Sustainable Airport Network
Participation in the event provided the ACV delegation with an opportunity to keep abreast of global technological trends, exchange practical experience with international partners and assess the feasibility of adopting new solutions in Vietnam.
