On the morning of November 12, 2025, Deputy Minister of Construction Mr. Le Anh Tuan chaired an inspection session to review the implementation progress and readiness for commissioning and operation of the Passenger Terminal T2 Expansion Project at Noi Bai International Airport.

Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Bach Tung – Deputy Director of the Department of Economic and Construction Investment Management; Mr. To Tu Ha – Director of Noi Bai International Airport; Mr. Nguyen Le Dong – Head of the T2 Expansion Project Management Board; along with representatives from the Hanoi Department of Construction, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, the Northern Airports Authority, and contractors/construction units.

Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan and the working delegation inspected the construction progress of various components of the T2 expansion project at Noi Bai International Airport.

The delegation conducted an on-site inspection, reviewed acceptance plans, trial operation schedules, and safety, security, fire prevention and fighting (FPF), and IT infrastructure solutions during the finalization phase.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan emphasized the need for all parties to concentrate resources to adhere to the committed schedule, comply with regulations and standards, and ensure safety, quality, aesthetics, and stable operational readiness. The ultimate goal is timely handover with consistent quality, enhancing passenger experience, and moving toward achieving a 5-star airport rating under Skytrax standards.

On behalf of Noi Bai International Airport, Director Mr. To Tu Ha warmly welcomed the Deputy Minister of Construction and representatives of relevant agencies and units to the site inspection. He reaffirmed the airport’s commitment to closely coordinate with state management authorities and contractors to ensure progress, quality, and safety, while minimizing any impact on current operations and passenger experience. The airport will proactively organize training and system readiness checks and seek approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to commence operations on December 19, 2025.

As the northern gateway of Vietnam’s aviation network, Noi Bai International Airport consistently collaborates with the Ministry of Construction, relevant authorities, and contractors, mobilizing resources to complete the T2 expansion components safely, on schedule, and with high quality. The airport pledges to standardize operations and acceptance procedures in accordance with regulations, ensuring stable commissioning and improved passenger experience, aiming for the Skytrax 5-star airport target.
