The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) issued document No. 2319/CHK-QLC on June 20, 2025, to the People's Committee of Nghe An province and related industry units regarding the temporary suspension of operations at Vinh International Airport from 00:00 on July 1, 2025, to 23:59 on December 31, 2025 (local time). This temporary closure is to facilitate the construction, supply, and installation of equipment for the project to repair the runway and taxiways at Vinh International Airport.
On June 19, 2025, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) hosted a high-level meeting with a delegation from the Netherlands Embassy in Vietnam at ACV’s headquarters. The meeting, led by ACV Deputy General Director Nguyen Duc Hung, included representatives from various functional departments.
